We are a group of tennis enthusiasts dedicated to making a positive impact in the lives of individuals with intellectual disabilities. Some of us are parents, volunteers, caregivers or experienced tennis professionals, all united by this common purpose.

Abilities Tennis Association of North Carolina (ATANC) is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) whose mission is to bring fitness, friendship, and community to people with intellectual disabilities through the highly adaptable sport of tennis.

SHINE! Theatre Camp is a two-week theatre experience for campers with special needs ages 6 and up. Campers are the stars and get to experience everything from costumes, sets, props, wearing microphones, stage lights, and having a live audience.

The Mayor’s Committee for Persons with Disabilities is a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit coalition of businesses, human service agencies, and individuals of all levels of abilities with the mission to create a barrier-free community.

The committee works to enhance awareness, education, social, and employment opportunities in an effort to promote inclusion and reduce barriers. It's also active in many community boards and committees advocating for the rights of people with disabilities.

ECAC helps parents navigate the special education system, know their rights, and use their voice. We provide information, support, training and resources to assist families caring for children with special needs from birth to age 26. We also support young adults with disabilities in becoming self-advocates and leaders and the educators and professionals who serve them.

The Family Support Network of Central Carolina’s mission is to provide support, education, and caring connections to those who have a child with a disability, special healthcare needs, or who have experienced a NICU stay. They envision every child having a thriving family and are committed to fostering an inclusive, diverse, and equitable community.

They have a close affiliation with Cone Health and are located within the Neonatal Medicine Department at Cone Health Women's and Children's Center at Moses Cone Hospital. FSNCC serves families across Guilford and surrounding counties.
